FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What material are the Nativity sets made from?
All of our Nativity sets are 3D printed using PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol), a durable, lightweight plastic known for its strength, clarity, and resistance to cracking. PETG is commonly used in food containers and consumer products due to its stability and reliability.
Why do you use PETG instead of other plastics?
PETG offers an ideal balance of durability, flexibility, and transparency. Compared to PLA, PETG is more heat-resistant and less brittle, and compared to ABS, it prints with higher clarity and smoother finishes—making it perfect for both illuminated and non-lit Nativity figures.
Is PETG safe for indoor use?
Yes. PETG is safe for indoor display and emits no fumes or odors during normal use. Our Nativity sets are designed exclusively for indoor decorative use.
How should I store my Nativity set when not in use?
For best long-term care:
- Store in a cool, dry environment
- Avoid hot attics, garages, or sheds, which may exceed safe temperature limits
- Keep pieces wrapped or cushioned to prevent scratches or pressure marks
Proper storage helps maintain shape, clarity, and surface finish year after year.
What temperatures should be avoided?
PETG can begin to soften at temperatures above approximately 176°F (80°C). We strongly recommend avoiding prolonged exposure to:
- Direct sunlight
- Hot vehicles
- Attics or storage spaces without climate control
Are the Nativity sets weatherproof or suitable for outdoor use?
No. These Nativity sets are designed for indoor use only. Outdoor exposure to heat, moisture, and UV light may cause warping, fading, or surface degradation.
How do I clean the Nativity figures?
Gently clean with:
- A soft, dry microfiber cloth
- Mild soap and lukewarm water if needed
Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasives, or alcohol-based cleaners, as they may dull the surface.
Are the LED-backlit Nativity sets safe to leave on?
Yes. The LED puck lights used in our illuminated Nativity sets run cool and are energy efficient. Always follow the included lighting instructions and turn off lights when not in use for extended periods.
Do the mini Nativity sets include lighting?
No. Mini Nativity sets are non-lit and do not include LED components, cords, or batteries. They are designed for simple, flexible placement in small spaces.
Are the Nativity pieces fragile?
PETG is durable, but like all decorative items, the figures should be handled with care. Dropping or applying excessive force may cause damage.
How are the Nativity sets packaged for shipping?
Each order is carefully packed with protective materials to minimize movement and prevent damage during transit. Multi-piece sets are individually cushioned to ensure safe arrival.
When will my order ship?
Most orders ship within 3–5 business days, depending on order volume and customization. During peak holiday seasons, processing times may be slightly longer.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently we do not ship internationally.
What should I do if my order arrives damaged?
Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damaged item and packaging. We will work quickly to resolve the issue with a replacement or refund.
Can I mix and match Nativity sets or expand later?
Yes. Our Nativity sets are designed to be modular, allowing you to start with a smaller grouping (such as the Holy Family) and add additional figures over time.
Will each set look exactly the same?
Because each piece is individually 3D printed, slight variations in texture or finish may occur. These subtle differences are normal and part of the handcrafted nature of 3D-printed décor.
Is this a good gift item?
Absolutely. Our Nativity sets make meaningful Christmas gifts for families, church members, teachers, offices, and anyone who appreciates modern or traditional holiday décor.
